What the examination is like
Ultrasound examinations are carried out by Dr Uroš Miladinović, radiologist. The examination is painless, involves no radiation and takes 15 to 30 minutes. You usually receive your report with its conclusion straight away, along with an explanation of what it means and what to do next.
Frequently asked questions
Is ultrasound harmful?
No. Ultrasound uses no radiation and is completely painless and safe, so it can be repeated as often as necessary without risk, including for pregnant women and children.
How should I prepare for an abdominal ultrasound?
Come for an abdominal ultrasound fasting, 6 to 8 hours without food, so that the liver, gallbladder and pancreas are clearly visible. Other ultrasound examinations usually need no special preparation.
When do I get my report?
You usually receive the report with the radiologist's description and conclusion as soon as the examination is finished, so you can take it straight to your own doctor.
How much does an ultrasound cost in Belgrade?
A single ultrasound examination (abdomen, thyroid, breasts, soft tissue, Doppler) is 6.000 RSD. Two examinations are 10.000 RSD and three are 12.000 RSD.
