Cookie Policy

Effective date: 23 January 2026

  1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files that a website may store on your computer or mobile device when you visit it. Cookies help the Site to work, to remember certain settings and to give us insight into how the Site is used, so that we can improve the user experience.
  2. Who sets cookies
    Cookies may be set by:
  • Miren Clinic (first party cookies), which are necessary for the Site to work and for its basic functions.
  • Third parties (third party cookies), when we use tools and integrations (for example analytics, embedded video, maps, social media buttons).
  1. Which types of cookies we use
    A) Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are required for the basic functioning of the Site (for example stability, security and core technical functions). Without them the Site may work poorly or incorrectly.

B) Functional cookies
They allow certain choices to be remembered (for example language or display settings), for a better user experience.

C) Analytical cookies
They allow us to measure visits and understand how the Site is used (for example which pages are visited most often and how long users stay). We use this data to improve the content, structure and performance of the Site.
Analytical cookies are set only in accordance with your choice or consent, where consent is required.

D) Marketing cookies and social media cookies
These cookies may be linked to displaying content from social networks, tracking campaign performance or personalizing the advertisements shown on other platforms. They are set only in accordance with your choice or consent, where consent is required, and depending on whether such tools are enabled on the Site.

  1. Examples of typical cookies in a WordPress environment (for information)
Depending on the configuration of the Site and its plugins, the following may appear, for example:
  • wordpress_test_cookie (checks that cookies are supported),
  • wp-settings-* and wp-settings-time-* (stores browser user settings),
  • cookies for security and protection against misuse (the name depends on the security solution),
  • analytics cookies (the name depends on the analytics provider and its settings),
  • cookies from embedded content (for example video or social media content), if such content is loaded directly on the page.

Please note: we do not use a "single universal" list of cookies, because it changes depending on technical settings, the plugins in use and your privacy choices. The categories in this policy nevertheless always apply.

  1. Managing cookies and withdrawing consent
You can manage cookies in two ways:
    1) Through the cookie banner or cookie settings on the Site (if displayed): you can accept or refuse analytical and marketing cookies and change your decision later.
    2) Through your browser settings: you can delete existing cookies or block new ones. Please bear in mind that blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect how the Site works.
  2. How long cookies last
    Cookies may be:
  • session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or
  • persistent cookies (they remain for a set period or until you delete them).
Their duration depends on the purpose and settings of the particular technology.
