Treatment protocol
Each treatment takes around 30 minutes and can be combined with other procedures for maximum effect.
Mild redness or swelling is possible and usually passes within a few hours. Sun protection is recommended.
Optimal results are achieved with a course of 3 to 4 treatments, 3 to 4 weeks apart.
What a polynucleotide treatment is like
It all starts with a consultation at which the doctor assesses the condition of your skin and defines a treatment plan. You come to the treatment itself with no special preparation: the skin is cleansed, an anesthetic cream is applied if needed, and the product is then delivered into the skin through a series of microinjections. The whole procedure usually takes around 30 minutes and you can go back to your daily routine immediately afterwards.
For the full effect, a course of 2 to 4 treatments 3 to 4 weeks apart is usually recommended. The result builds gradually: the skin becomes more hydrated, firmer and more even over the following weeks, because polynucleotides stimulate regeneration in the deeper layers of the skin.
At the polyclinic the treatment is performed by Dr Branislav Lukić, a specialist in ophthalmology and a certified aesthetic medicine physician whose particular fields are anti-ageing and laser procedures, including polynucleotides and exosomes.
Polynucleotides or hyaluronic acid fillers?
Although both treatments are administered by injection, their roles are different. Hyaluronic acid fillers replace lost volume and shape the contours of the face, whereas polynucleotides improve the quality of the skin itself: its hydration, elasticity, complexion and tone. That makes polynucleotides the right choice when skin is tired, dehydrated or thinned, and fillers the right choice when you want to restore volume.
The treatments also combine very well with PRP therapy and other regenerative procedures. At your consultation the doctor will suggest the order and combination that gives the most natural result for your face.
