  • Technician's visit 2.000 RSD to 5.000 RSD
  • As prescribed by a doctor
  • Within Belgrade

Intramuscular (i.m.) therapy, that is, giving injections into a muscle, is one of the services the Miren Medic polyclinic provides at your home address. When a doctor has prescribed a course of injections, a medical technician comes to you, so you do not have to go to the clinic every day.

For those who can come in, i.m. therapy is also given at the polyclinic in Voždovac.

Giving an injection into the upper arm of an elderly patient

What you should know about i.m. injections

What an i.m. injection is

The medicine is given into a muscle, most often into the upper outer part of the buttock muscle, the upper arm or the thigh. The site depends on the medicine, the amount and the patient.

When a course is prescribed

The doctor decides that an injection is the best route of administration and prescribes the number of injections and the interval between them, for example with certain antibiotics, painkillers or vitamins.

Why at home

For bedridden and older people, after surgery, or when going to the clinic every day is not possible because of work and other commitments.

What an injection at home looks like

  1. Arrangement

You tell us the name of the medicine, the dose, the number of injections and the schedule from the doctor's instructions.

  2. Check

Before administration, the doctor's order and the medicine being given are checked.

  3. Injection

The medicine is given into a muscle, with sterile single-use equipment.

  4. Next dose

For a course of injections, we agree a schedule of visits.
