Dr Džihan Abazović at the Miren Medic Clinic: Training in PRP Therapy and Regenerative Medicine

Miren Medic Polyclinic welcomed Dr Džihan Abazović, an internationally recognised specialist in regenerative medicine, who delivered an in-house training session for our doctors covering anti-ageing medicine and joint therapy. Dr Abazović has collaborated with our clinic for many years and is an authority on the use of PRP therapy and stem cells in clinical practice.

Who is Dr Džihan Abazović?

Dr Džihan Abazović is a specialist in emergency medicine. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Belgrade and undertook further training in Brazil in clinical genetics and intercellular signalling, and in the Netherlands in blood management. Since 2013 his work has focused on regenerative medicine, where he has performed thousands of procedures using PRP therapy and stem cells in orthopaedics, neurology, aesthetic medicine, cardiovascular surgery and wound care.

He is Vice President of the Association for Biology and Regenerative Medicine, the author of more than 40 scientific papers published in leading international journals and a regular speaker at international congresses.

The training session at Miren Medic Polyclinic

During his visit to Miren Medic Polyclinic, Dr Abazović delivered a training session for our specialist team focusing on two highly topical therapeutic areas: PRP therapy with exosomes in anti-ageing medicine, and PRP therapy for joints in rheumatology and orthopaedics.

The aim of the session was to allow our doctors to advance their knowledge and protocols through the direct transfer of experience and the latest practical insights from the field of regenerative medicine.

PRP with exosomes: an anti-ageing facial treatment

PRP therapy (platelet rich plasma) has for years been the gold standard in non-surgical facial rejuvenation. Combining it with exosomes represents the next step: exosomes are microscopic vesicles rich in signalling molecules that amplify the regenerative effect of PRP, stimulate the synthesis of collagen and elastin, accelerate skin renewal and deliver more visible and longer lasting results.

The treatment is particularly suitable for patients who want natural rejuvenation, improved skin texture and tone, a reduction in fine lines, and regeneration of skin damaged by chronic sun exposure.

PRP therapy for joints in rheumatology and orthopaedics

The second part of the session was devoted to the use of PRP therapy in treating degenerative joint disease, sports injuries and chronic pain conditions. PRP injected directly into the joint can slow degenerative processes, reduce pain and improve joint function without the need for surgery.

This minimally invasive approach offers significant relief to patients with osteoarthritis of the knee, hip, shoulder and other joints, as well as to athletes seeking faster recovery after injuries to tendons, ligaments and muscles.

Continuing education: the foundation of quality medicine

Our collaboration with Dr Abazović is part of our commitment to the continuing education of our doctors. At Miren Medic we believe that quality medical care begins with constant professional development, the exchange of experience and keeping up with the latest advances in regenerative and aesthetic medicine.

Thanks to partnerships such as this one, our patients can be confident that the treatments we perform are based on proven protocols and the most current international practice.
