On 19 October 2024, Miren Polyclinic hosted a professional lecture devoted to an important and often overlooked subject: the psychological aspects of infertility. Our guests were two outstanding specialists in psychiatry and psychotherapy: Prof. Dr Sci. Med. Mila Goldner Vukov and Dr Snežana Mijalković, MSc Med, ECP.
Prof. Dr Mila Goldner Vukov is a distinguished psychiatrist with extensive international experience and a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College, whose scientific papers and books have contributed significantly to a better understanding of the emotional challenges faced by women undergoing infertility treatment.
Dr Snežana Mijalković, known for her holistic approach and her work in psycho-oncology, shared her valuable experience in recognising and addressing emotional barriers and in supporting couples on their path to parenthood.
The lecture attracted considerable interest among our guests, raised numerous questions and prompted a discussion on the importance of mental health during infertility treatment. This event is part of our continuing commitment to providing comprehensive support, not only through excellent medical care but also through attention to the emotional wellbeing of our patients.
